FAQs

What are your Fees, and do you take insurance?

1

Please contact me to discuss my current fees. While I do not participate with insurance plans, I am happy to provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for any available out-of-network reimbursement. To better understand your coverage before beginning treatment, please visit the Services page for a list of commonly used billing codes to discuss with your insurer. I do not offer a sliding fee scale.

In what states are you licensed?

2

Virtual treatment has made therapy unbelievably convenient. While I am thrilled that so many of us benefit from the Zoom world, we still have to abide by the law. I am licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Texas, which means you must be physically located in one of those states for our work together to be legally and ethically sound. So while I fully support your dream of taking your therapy sessions from a hammock in Tahiti, unfortunately, I'll have to ask you to save that one for vacation.

What are your billing policies?

3

Invoices are sent monthly, and payment is typically made via Zelle. If that arrangement isn't feasible for you, we can discuss an alternative billing schedule. At the start of treatment, I will keep a credit card on file. I will not hold your intake if a credit card has not been submitted. If an invoice remains unpaid after 30 days, the card may be charged for the outstanding balance. Whenever possible, I will discuss any billing concerns with you during session before charging your card.

How can I contact you?

4

You can reach me via my contact page, phone, or email. I aim to respond quickly, usually within one business day. Established patients will be oriented to how to reach me between sessions.
